Electric wake boat.

1. People already spend nearly 200 grand on these things...whats another 30 grand in batteries?

2. Batteries are heavy. This is great! Wake boats like weight. People add straight lead to their boats to weigh it down. 2000 lbs of batteries? NP. It’s not like the rockstar dually wheels and chipped diesel will mind.

3. N o Co problems while surfing.

4. Boats are loud, this will not be. That’s a plus for blasting tunes or just not being cool to your lake neighbors and fishers early morning.

5. Lots of people with top dollar wake boats have them on lakes with boathouses and infrastructure to charge them up already.

Frankly it took too long to get to this point.

Too bad they used the GS hull and not the G23.

I love the concept, but anyone who has to trailer to the lake is going to chew through WAAAY more battery than what is available.

Even when I have friends over to boat (from a dock and lift), we probably surf for 2ish hours, then chill with floaties for 2 or 3 more, with runs back to the dock to drop off and pick up new people regularly. So it’d be tight on available power.

If it had 5 hours of life you’d be golden, as it sits, I guess I’ll have to wait longer to spend a bazillion dollars on a new boat.......

EDIT: All anyone wants is a sound comparison between this and a engine power GS 22, and they refuse to give it. So dumb!

Wow. All of your points make 100% sense and it probably would be an awesome wake boat.

Yeah, it wouldn’t work for us for sure, we burn at least half a 45 gallon tank a day surfing, and it sits at anchor the rest of the time until we pull it out for the weekend.  But we also spent a quarter what a new boat costs and are okay with it not being the latest and greatest.

yeah, the surfing potential would be amazing. super finite speed control and easy conversations with the boat.

my first thought was wake surfing. And yeah being able to chat with the boat without a V8 growling while you surf would be cool. (not that I know how to do it, I just see people who do lol)
